Explanation:

The word homeostasis gives its definition. Homeo means similar, and stasis means state. So, it means to keep a similar or stable state. He usually talk about homeostasis with a biological body, such as a human body, or a dog, or even the environment.

An example of homeostasis involves our body temperature. Our normal body temperature is 37°C. If it goes up, you have a fever, and if it goes down, you can go in hypothermia (which can lead to death). So we need to keep that temperature at 37°C. In other words, we need to keep a thermal (temperature) homeostasis.
