The rock is called the “bob”, the string is normally called a “massless rod” and the point where your finger and the string touch is called the “pivot” or “frictionless pivot”
It maybe worth noting that we assume:
(i) the rod is inextensible as well as massless
(ii) the amplitude remains below
(iii) the bob is a point mass
(iv) there is no air resistance
(v) gravitational force is constant
(vi) the support / pivot is entirely motionless
