Mycology is the branch of Biology which is limited to the study of fungi. In mycology we study about different means of reproduction(sexual and asexual) in fungi, their various modes of Nutrition, their economic and commercial importance, their different phylums i.e zygomycota, ascomycota, basidiomycota and deuteromycota and economic losses due to fungi.
A biologist who studies only fungi is called mycologist.
