What does the title of the short story "Tomorrow and Tomorrow and So Forth" by John Updike symbolize? *Urgent question*
I initially said that it represented the carefree, teenager attitude of the high school students. If this is good, please help provide an example from the story (this is what I'm actually struggling with).
If this is a bad interpretation of what the title symbolizes -- could someone help with what the title actually symbolizes and provide an example.
Thank you!

Not a specialist by any means, but ...
Explanation:
It reminds me of Macbeth’s speech “tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow...” from Act 5, Scene 5. Possibly one of the most heartfelt and nihilistic comments on life ever made.
Does that help?
