A resistor marked with bands (yellow,voilet,orange,gold) is a #47 kOmega+-5%# resistor

Any resistance measurement between #44650Omega# and #49350Omega# will be within the specifications.

Assuming that you just forgot the x1000 factor, the resistor is ok.

The nominal value is #R = 47# k#\Omega# #\pm5%#.

#R = 47000\Omega \pm 2350\Omega#.

#44650\Omega \leq R \leq 49350 \Omega#.

Explanation:

1st band: yellow (4)
2nd band: violet (7)
3rd band/multiplier: orange (3)
tolerance: gold (5%)

(4)(7)#\times 10^"(3)"\pm(5%) = 47k\Omega\pm 2350\Omega#

#44.68 k\Omega# is very close to the lower limit, but still within the tolerance range.
