Well what is 10^3/10^-3....I make it 10^6

Explanation:

"ks" = "kilosecond"=10^3*s

"ms" = "millisecond"=10^-3*s

And so there are one million milliseconds per kiloseconds....i.e. 1000xx1000*ms...

And thus 0.72*ks-=0.72xx10^3*s=720*s=720xx10^3*ms

In terms of length there are 10^6*mm in every "kilometre"...

i.e. "kilometre"/"millimetre"=(10^3*m)/(10^-3*m)=10^6

0.72 ks = 720,000 ms

Explanation:

We know that the prefix kilo- means "one-thousand," and that milli- means "one-thousandth." Therefore, we can make the two following conversion factors:

1 ks = 1000 s, and
1 s = 1000 ms

We can now set up our dimensional analysis:

(0.72"ks")/1 * (1000"s")/("ks") * (1000"ms")/"s"

Cancelling the like units:

0.72/1 * 1000/1 * (1000"ms")/1

Simplifying:

0.72 * 1000 * 1000"ms"

720 * 1000"ms"

720000"ms"
