Explanation:
The earth is the only planet known to have intelligent life, and probably the only one known to have any form of life at all.
There is debate (it is science, after all) over whether Mars or maybe even some distant moons of Jupiter/Saturn had (or possibly even has) simple life (think sludge in the pipe) but this is not settled yet.
