Clearly the applied force is #0.9 N# which is greater by magnitude than the resistive force against its motion i.e #0.15 N#

So,horizontally,the system has an unbalanced force of #(0.9-0.15)N# or,#0.75 N# along the direction of the applied force.

So,its acceleration will be #0.75/0.1 m/s^2# or,#7.5 m/s^2#
