Explanation:

A rock at a top of a hill has potential energy(PE). If the wind knocks the rock of the hill the rock starts falling and moving(having Kenetic Energy (KE)).

In the same way a river on top of a cliff has PE and when it falls that PE gets converted into KE. If there is a turbine at the bottom of the waterfall the KE of the water spins the turbine to create Electricity. (the process in which dams work).
