William Carey ministered in India from when he first arrived in 1793, till his death in 1834. He founded Serampore University in 1818. He was kicked out by non-Baptists missionaries and joined Frederiksnagar (a dutch colony). He also translated the bible into many languages that were used in the area. He is most known for spreading Christianity in India.
