If there is a deficit of potassium, then this is called hypokalemia.
Micro and macronutrients are described differently in human and plant nutrition.

Explanation:

If there is a deficit of potassium or it is contained in a smaller scale than usual, then we talk about a disorder. The term macro and micronutrient are only used when we talk about a body in homeostasis.

In human nutrition
Macronutrients are the elements in our diet that provide us with the calories and energy we need, and this is why we need them in large supply. Macronutrients include carbohydrates, proteins and fats.

Micronutrients are required in much smaller amounts in our diet. Micronutrients include water-soluble vitamins, fat-soluble vitamins, minerals and water.

In plant nutrition
Macronutrients: nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), potassium (K), calcium (Ca), sulfur (S), magnesium (Mg), carbon (C), oxygen(O), hydrogen (H)
Micronutrients (or trace minerals): iron (Fe), boron (B), chlorine (Cl), manganese (Mn), zinc (Zn), copper (Cu), molybdenum (Mo), nickel (Ni)
