Explanation:

It is caused by protozoan parasites. Malaria parasites are transmitted by female Anopheles mosquitoes. It depends on malaria you want to know the full name of the pathogen, but there is a chart on Wikipedia that actually is pretty good. But for the plain word malaria, it is just Plasmodium.

Malaria is caused by a pathogen known as Plasmodium ,which belongs to the phylum Apicomplexa,they bear an apical complex which helps in the interaction with glycophorin receptor of #RBCs# which is important to start Erythrocytic cycle.
