The projectile will have a net displacement along horizontal direction only,as because initially it will rise vertically but then will come down due to the effects of gravity.

So,range of projectile motion #R= (u^2 sin 2 theta)/g#(where, #u# is the velocity of projection and #theta# is the angle of projection

Given, #u=3ms^-1,theta=pi/3#
