Explanation:

lead nitrate is soluble. ( All nitrates are soluble. ) The iodine ions being more reactive than the nitrate ions will replace the nitrate ions. The Lead will combine with the iodine ions for form lead iodide. # PbI_2# Lead Iodine is insoluble and will percipate out of solution. The nitrate ions will be left in solution in place of the iodine ions that were in solution.
