In an electric motor, say it has only one coil. The coil spins because of current in it. So, is there any electromagnetic induction process occuring simultaneously?

Yes. It is known as back emf.

Explanation:

The current in the coil interacts with the magnetic field causing the coil to rotate.

The motion of the coil in the magentic field induces a small voltage, this is called the back emf.
