The heart is an essential organ that pumps blood throughout the human body. Humans can not live without it.

Explanation:

The human heart pumps blood to all parts of the body through the circulatory system. The blood pumped from it provides oxygen and nutrients to tissues in the human body. Without the heart pumping blood to all the tissues in the human body, they would not be able to function. This is why heart attacks are so deadly and often fatal; the human body can not function without the heart.

The heart pumps blood around the body.

Explanation:

The heart is made up of four areas filled with blood, and they are called chambers. The two chambers on top are called the atria (atrium for singular), and the two chambers on the bottom are called ventricles.

The atria and the ventricles work as a team. The atria fill up with blood, and then they dump it into the ventricles. Then, the ventricles squeeze, pumping the blood out of the heart. While the ventricles are squeezing, the atria refills with blood.
