Explanation:

If A and B are complimentary,
A+B=90 ........... Equation 1

The measure of angle B is three times the measure of angle A
B=3A..............Equation 2

Substituting the value of B from equation 2 in equation 1, we get

A+3A=90
4A=90 and hence A=22.5

Putting this value of A in either of the equations and solving for B, we get B=67.5

Hence, A=22.5 and B=67.5
