Use the mnemonic

Explanation:

I use the following to remember the signs. ALL SILVER TEA CUPS .

These are used to denote which of the trigonometric identity is positive.

A ll - In 1st quadrant all the identities are positive
S ilver - In 2nd quadrant #sin theta# and #csc theta# are positive
T ea - In 3rd quadrant #tan theta# and #cot theta# are positive
C ups - In 4th quadrant #cos theta# and #sec theta# are positive.
