A tip i can give you is how manny times you have to move the decimal to get the first number to not be a decimal and the amount of times you have to move the decimal is the exponent of the base 10. For example here I moved the 4 times to get the 3 to be before the decimal so now I know that is has to be 3,14*10^-4
