Heat energy from temperature causes intermolecular forces to break of form which causes change in state
Explanation:
High temperature provides lots of heat energy. With enough heat energy, the intermolecular forces (forces of attraction between molecules) break causing the molecules to move around more freely. So solids turn into liquid which turns into gas/vapour.
Alternatively, low temperatures cause the formation of intermolecular forces and so causes gas/vapour to turn into liquid which turns into a solid.
