When mRNA is transcribed from DNA, its adenine bases would be paired with the thymine bases of DNA.
Why? Uracil generally doesn't occur in DNA (it does rarely, but nearly no undergraduate class will expect you to know this), thymine is merely a methylated uracil that's in DNA.
