Some simple steps to graph a circle:

Explanation:

Once you fully understand graphing a circle, you realize how easy it becomes!

Here are some steps for graphing a circle:

#->#Graph the center (-4,2)

#->#Go up 5 units from the center and plot a point. This point will lie on (-4,7).

#->#Go down 5 units from the center and plot a point. This point will lie on (-4,-3).

#->#Go left of the center 5 units and plot a point.

#-># Go right of the center 5 units and plot a point.

You just graphed 4 radii of a circle, and 2 diameters.

Now, you should have 5 points on your graph. Take a compass and put the center of the compass on the center of the circle. Connect the 4 points around the center. Your circle should intersect all 4 points. You could freehand this too, but it's safer to use a compass (and neater too!).
