Organic chemistry is the study of organic molecules, which must necessarily contain carbon. People used to think organic was synonymous with biological chemistry, but the two disciplines are fairly distinct.
Biological chemistry is like organic chemistry in a very narrow set of physiological conditions. Organic chemistry has no limit, which leaves room for ingenious syntheses and very interesting experimental procedures.
