Establishment of Mughal empire.

Explanation:

Delhi sultanate was based in a large part of Indian subcontinent where five dynasties sequentially ruled for more than 300 years starting from 1206 AD.

With defeat and death of Ibrahim Lodi in first battle of Panipat, curtain closed on Delhi sultanate (1526). He fought against son of a Fergana ruler, named Babur who then occupied Delhi, thereby effectively ending the Sultanate.

Babur, a turk from present day Uzbekistan, is the founder of Mughal empire in Indian subcontinent. Later day Mughal emperors were genetically more Indian, and contributed greatly in evolution of Indian art, architecture, music, literature, cuisine, etc. Mughal rule is often regarded as a golden period of Indian history before it declined and eventually ended in 1858.
