Explanation:

#(1+ tan(x/2))/(1-tan (x/2))# and as #tan(pi/4)=1#, we can write it as

= #(tan(pi/4)+ tan(x/2))/(1-tan(pi/4)tan (x/2))#

But as #tan(A+B)=(tanA+tanB)/(1-tanAtanB)#

this is #tan(pi/4+x/2)#

where #A=pi/4# and #B=x/2#
