In far-sightedness, either the eye's lens is not convex enough or the eyeball is too small so that light rays focus beyond the retina forming a distorted image.
Wearing convex lenses as glasses converges the rays of light before entering the eye's lens so that the combination of the 2 lenses forces the rays to focus exactly on the retina hence forming a clear image that can be relayed to the vision centre in the brain.
