#BMI=m/(h^2)#

Explanation:

BMI (body mass index) gives an indication of the mass ratio of a person to the square of his height, ie
#BMI=m/(h^2)#

Example, a person of mass 89 kg and height 1,94m would gave a BMI value of
#89/(1,94^2)=23,65#

In general, values of BMI below 20 are considered underweight, between 20 to 24 are considered normal weight, between 24 to 29 are considered overweight, and over 30 is considered obese.

However, it was recently realized that BMI values can be misleading especially for sports people, and so a more accurate and meaningful analysis would include full body composition with % fat, %water, % muscle, %bone, etc.
