Nitrogen is a pure, elemental substance. Any such substance has constant physical properties such as melting point, and boiling point.

Explanation:

Nitrogen is characterized by a boiling point of 196o C. At this temperature its vapour pressure is 1 atm. Why is the boiling point of nitrogen so low? Well, only weak dispersion forces operate between the nitrogen molecules.
