Could "copper sulfate pentahydrate" be dried by heating?

$C u S {O}_{4} \cdot 5 {H}_{2} O + \Delta \rightarrow C u S {O}_{4} \left(s\right) + 5 {H}_{2} O \uparrow$
$C u S {O}_{4} \cdot 5 {H}_{2} O$, blue vitriol, would be exceptionally hard to dry this way; a residue of water would remain, as indicated by faint blue colour in the salt.
