What factors influence metabolism? Muscle Mass: Muscle require more energies to function than fat. The more body muscles you have, the more energies need to exist in your muscle tissues.
Age: Age is important because as you grow older, your BMT become slower you consistently lose your muscle tissues. It is also caused by the changes of hormonal neurological. However, children’s metabolism speed up because they need more energies than adults do.
Physical activities: Physical exercises allow you to burn more calories at a faster rate because it increases muscle mass while you need more energies as your body is functioning.

Metabolism is partly because of genes but mostly is affected by one’s control. The person will have a fast metabolism by doing physical activities and increase muscle mass. The increasing of muscle tissues require more energies while they eat more without gaining weight. if you eat and drink fewer calories than are burned through everyday activities (including exercise, rest and sleep), you’ll lose weight. Our bodies are also programmed to sense a lack of food as starvation. In response, our BMR slows down, which means fewer calories burned over time. That’s one reason why losing weight is often difficult.Clearly, you can change how you balance the calories you take in against the calories you burn up through activity, which can change your weight.
