Explanation:

We 'assume' that n is an integer. This means 2n is always an even integer.
The left hand side term is # -1^(2n)# this is always equal to 1.
Or if we read the left hand term differently as #-(1^(2n))#, then the term is always -1.
The right hand term is #1^3# + #5^8# which is way bigger than 1 or -1
So in both interpretations of -1^2n the question has no solution for n.

Am I missing something here?
