#2y''+18y=6tan3x#

There are two parts to the General Solution

#GS = CF + PI#

We find the the #CF# by looking at the solution of the homogeneous equation #2y''+18y=0# which is a second order DE with constant coefficients. The Auxiliary Equation is:

# 2m^2+18=0#
# :. m^2=-9#
# :. m=+-3i#

So the #CF# is #y=Asin(3x)+ Bcos(3x)#

However the #PI# is much harder to find and the solution can be obtained here
