Frequency (n) of a spring is related with the mass (m) tied at its end and force constant #k# of the spring in following way

#n=1/(2pi)sqrt(k/m)#

This relation shows that the #"frequency "(n)propsqrtk# when m is constant.

The force constant determines the quality of the spring.

A stiff spring will have higher value of spring constant (k) than the delicate one as the former requires greater force for unit change in length. So stiffer spring will have greater frequency.
