Question #cf765

It will increase by a factor of 8.

Explanation:

Just think through it mathematically:

Go ahead and plug in a 2 in for both $\left[C {l}_{2}\right]$ and $\left[N {O}_{2}\right]$.

You should get just a 2 from the $\left[C {l}_{2}\right]$, but you'll get a 4 from the $\left[N {O}_{2}\right]$ (because ${2}^{2}$). Multiply these together, and you get a factor of 8.

So regardless of what the actual concentrations of $C {l}_{2}$ and $N {O}_{2}$ are, if you double both concentrations, your reaction rate will increase by a factor of 8.

Hope that helps :)
