We can do a few things with this problem though.

We can write this in slope- intercept form

$x + y = 2$

subtract $x$ on both sides

$y = 2 - x$

$y = - x + 2$

We can graph it
graph{y=2-x}

or find the $x$ and $y$ intercepts:

$x$-intercept is the value of $x$ when $y = 0$

$0 = - x + 2$

$- 2 = - x$

$2 = x$

The $x$-intercept is $\left(2 , 0\right)$

The $y$-intercept is the value of $y$ when $x = 0$

$y = - 0 + 2$

$y = 2$

The $y$-intercept is $\left(0 , 2\right)$
