Actually in this world not only people but every creature biotic or abiotic is dependent on one another for their existence. Likewise we have learnt about food chain or food web which shows dependence of animals on plants for their food and further carnivorous animals on other animals for their food and so on.
Not only this much plants also depend on animals for their pollination and carbon dioxide and for many more things.
Even bacteria depends on us and we on bacteria for many of our needs.
As a whole this can be concluded that existence in this world is only possible by mutual collaboration between its constituents.
Moreover if we talk of society then as humans are rational therefore they need a society to live and living in a society is not that easy. One has to compromise at times and may need help of someone.
Some other instance may come when he would be helping someone out of some problem.
As this is mutual collaboration so people have to depend on each other for their well being.
