As, a force of #250 N# is enough to lift the weights up,we can say in this process work is being done by the #250 N# as it is causing a displacement of #1.5 m#

So,work done by the man in lifting the weight up is #250*1.5=375 N#

This work is being done to supply the required amount of potential energy gain by the weights to be at a height of #1.5 m# above the ground.
