# An object is at rest at (7 ,4 ,2 ) and constantly accelerates at a rate of 4/5 m/s as it moves to point B. If point B is at (3 ,6 ,9 ), how long will it take for the object to reach point B? Assume that all coordinates are in meters.

${v}_{i} = 0 \frac{m}{s}$

$a = \frac{4}{5} \frac{m}{s} ^ 2$

$D = 8.31 m$ source
$D = {v}_{i} t + 0.5 a {t}^{2}$

$\implies 8.61 = 0.5 \cdot \left(\frac{4}{5}\right) {t}^{2}$

$\implies {t}^{2} = 21.525$

$\implies t = \sqrt{21.525} \approx 4.64 s$
