Are the eyelids part of the integumentary system? What about the tear ducts?
The eyes and all its parts are classified as organs of the nervous system.
Eyelids are part integumentary and muscular in nature . It has skin to protect the eyes from foreign bodies and a muscle called the superior levator palpebrae which facilitates the blinking motion of the eye regulated by the oculomotor nerve. The eyes itself is part of the nervous system so the tear ducts are regulated by the optic nerve.
