Thus, the slope #m_1# of the line #y=1/3x-10# is #m_1=1/3#, and,

that #m_2# of the line #y=3x# is #m_2=3#.

The condition for perpendicularity is #m_1*m_2=-1#.

Here, #m_1*m_2=1/3*3=1!=-1#.

Accordingly, the lines are not perpendicular.
