If the height from the surface of the earth is #color(red)(h# and the radius of the earth is #color(red)(R#,then the relation between the final gravitational acceleration is

#color(red)(ul(bar(|color(green)(g^(')=g(1-(2h)/R))|#

According to your given condition, #g^'=g/2#

Apply formula:-

#g/2=g(1-(2h)/R)#
#=>1/2=1-(2h)/R#
#=>1/2=(2h)/R#
#=>color(red)(h=R/4=6400/4=1600"km"#

Hope it helps...
Thank you...
