Generally, a physically fit person will be healthier overall, including the ability to resist infectious diseases.

Explanation:

Health is a very complex and inter-related issue. There is no one "perfect state", nor is anyone completely immune from any an all forms of injury or disease.

However, as a holistic system, a body that is fit in physical respects - mass, muscle tone, fat content, bone integrity, etc. - will also be more likely to maintain a healthy immune system for defense against infectious diseases.

Similarly, even maintaining a physically fit body does not directly strengthen the immune system, nor does it provide any guarantee against infection. Immune system strength and flexibility are more of a function of exposure and response times than physical fitness.
