Can Alkadienes compounds contain a ring in it?

Wikipedia - Alkadienes are acyclic branched or unbranched hydrocarbons having two carbon-carbon double bonds

so are they really acyclic or do they contain a ring in it?

Alkadienes are really acyclic.

Explanation:

Just as there is a difference between an alkane and a cycloalkane, there is a difference between an alkadiene and a cycloalkadiene.

In an alkadiene, the double bonds must not be part of a ring.

Dienes

In the picture above, all three compounds are dienes, but only the last one is an alkadiene.
