Does an open system differ from a closed system?

OPEN SYSTEM
In open system there is no exchange of energy and matter between the surroundings.
EG: the presence of reactants in an open beaker

CLOSED SYSTEM
In closed system there is no exchange of matter, but exchange of energy is possible.
