Please follow following process

Explanation:

  1. Mark any point #B# on line #l#.

  2. Join #AB#.

  3. Take a compass and with center at #B#, draw an arc from #A# to a point #C# on line #l#.

  4. Keeping compass as it is (i.e. equal to #BA#), draw an arc from #C# and #A#, to cut each other at #D#

5, Join #AD#. #AD# is parallel to #l# as #ABCD# is a rhombus.

You can also draw using a parallelogram by choosing #BC# different from #AB# (keep it longer than #AB#). In such cases, draw an arc of radius equal to #BC# from #A# and a different arc of radius #AB# from #C# both intersecting at #D#.
