During vaporization of water which of the following statements is not true?

  1. The bubbles that form before the water
reaches its boling point are primarly air.
  2. Intramolecular bonds are broken during
    the vaporization process.

Explanation:

Intramolecular bonds are not broken during vapourisation of water.

Intramolecular bonds are bonds that exist within a molecule, whilst intermolecular bonds are bonds that exist between different molecules.

Whilst the process of vapourisation involves supplying suffiicent energy to overcome hydrogen bonding between different water molecules, it does not result in bonds within a single water molecule breaking (if it did, you would be able to form oxygen and hydrogen gasses by boiling water, which we know isn't possible)..
