A polynomial #f(x)# is equivalent to the rational expression #f(x)/1#

The expression:

is a polynomial of degree #0#

So for any polynomial #f(x)#, the expression:

#f(x)/1#

is a rational expression, being a division of one polynomial by another.

But #f(x)/1# is just another way of writing our polynomial #f(x)#.
