$f(g(x))=x^2+1$

If $g(x)=(2x)(1/2)$
then $g(x)=x$

and therefore
$f(g(x))=f(x)$
and we are told $f(x)=x^2+1$

Given f(x) = x^2 + 1 f(x) = x^2 + 1 and g(x) = (2x) (1/2)g(x) = (2x) (1/2) how do you find f(g(x))?
