They are mostly used in internal combustion or external combustion engines.
Explanation:
Engines convert the chemical energy into first heat energy and then to mechanical energy,
Example mnst thermal ,power stations use them as fuel in boilers
Internal combustion engines use as fuel in cars Buses trains and even in Air planes and rockets,
Use in steel ,plants in the furnace to heat steel making/.
Examples of fossil fuels Coal, gas, petrol, dispel.Heavy Oil.
