How are isosceles and scalene triangles the same?

They are different types of triangles.
The isosceles triangle has properties which the scalene triangle does not have.


The only aspects of scalene and isosceles triangles which are the same is that they have #3# sides and #3# angles which add to #180°#

Scalene triangles have three sides of different lengths and three angles of different sizes. There are no lines of symmetry.

An isosceles triangle has two equal sides and two equal angles and there is one line of symmetry.
